Message from the CEO
In 2015, we reached a new milestone at Casa Colina. Now, it is my absolute
pleasure to welcome you to Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare.
Our new name reflects Casa Colina's expanding continuum of care as
well as the many types of health care services we provide today. This
is a unique place designed to provide an optimal environment to regain
physical and cognitive function and reclaim the ability to live life to
one's fullest potential. The 31-bed medical surgical wing expansion
to Casa Colina Hospital opening on April 1, 2016, is a bold step to go
even further to fulfill these needs in our community and define our future
as a regional Center of Excellence in medical and rehabilitation services.
We understand that there are structural changes coming in how people receive
medical services. The Casa Colina Medical Office Building completed the
summer of 2013 and the new medical surgical wing addition will help Casa
Colina meet the challenge of those changes while remaining dedicated to
our tradition of providing each patient with the best opportunity for
medical recovery and rehabilitation success. These additions will reinforce
that tradition by extending Casa Colina's renowned continuum of care.
This new medical surgical hospital wing is a place where the needs of
our community and its physicians can be met at the highest levels.
Casa Colina recognizes the importance of caring for every patient, one
by one. It is the leadership of our surgeons and physicians who specialize
in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and many other physician specialists,
nurses, therapists and support staff, that helps us fulfill our mission:
to provide individuals the opportunity to maximize their rehabilitation
potential efficiently and effectively. We approach every patient with
dignity, respect, and hope for the future. But we do not do this in isolation.
We are building dynamic relationships with UCLA's Department of Neurosurgery,
San Antonio Regional Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and many other organizations
that create the healthcare network in our region. We continue to work
actively with the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association
(AMRPA) as a leading west coast representative, advocating on behalf of
the patients we serve and our community's needs.
We have guided thousands of people in countless ways through our distinct
levels of care, serving more than 10,600 individuals a year. Our continuum
of care spans the broadest range of inpatient and outpatient services.
It also includes long-term residential care and phenomenal experiences
through our Outdoor Adventures program, as you will see on this website.
Thank you for visiting. Please let us know if there is any way we can be
of assistance to you.
