Outdoor Adventures Trip Schedule 2013

• SNOW SKIING BIG BEAR MULTI-DAY TRIP

  March 5-7
  Enjoy two days of ski instruction, rentals, lift tickets, some meals, and transportation. Ski and snowboard instruction will be provided by the United States Adaptive Recreation Center. Stand-up and sit-down skiing and snowboarding are available depending on personal skill level.

• SAILING

  March 19, May 9, June 4, July 11, September 12, November 14
  Join Casa Colina and the U.S. Sailing Center for a hands-on sailing experience! Learn the basics of sailing in Los Alamitos Bay, the Long Beach Harbor and other locations. Family and friends are invited to attend. Includes transportation and activities.

• WHALE WATCHING

  February 19
  Come join us as we search for migrating grey whales off the coast of Dana Point and Long Beach. Includes transportation and activities.

• CATALINA ISLAND CONSERVANCY

  April 19-21
  Fly with Angel Flight to Catalina Island or relax on a fast, smooth ride by boat. Enjoy a camping weekend working with the Catalina Island Conservancy performing environmentally restorative activities. Enjoy the comforts of the volunteer campground and explore the city of Avalon. Includes transportation, most meals, accommodations and activities.

• DESERT CHALLENGE GAMES

  May 16-19
  Compete in a variety of events such as archery, track and field, swimming and weightlifting. Sponsored by Arizona Disabled Sports in Mesa, AZ. Includes transportation, some meals, accommodations, registration and activities.

• SURFING

  June 12, September 25
  Surf's Up! Team up with premier surf shop, AZ Boarding House of Santa Monica and their top instructors. Includes equipment, instruction and activities.

• KAYAKING

  May 1, October 9
  Experience firsthand the joy of kayaking in safe and sturdy sea kayaks. Paddle on the calm waters of Alamitos Bay in Long Bead. Individual and group instruction will be provided. Family and friends are welcome.

• DEEP SEA FISHING

  June 26
  Spend the day fishing out of Dana Point. Family and friends are invited to attend. Includes transportation, charter fees, activities, rod and reel rental. A deep sea fishing license is required and is not included.

• OUTRIGGER CANOEING / PADDLE BOARDING

  July 31
  Experience the teamwork of paddling in an outrigger canoe with the Lokahi Outrigger Canoe Club in Long Beach. Includes transportation, equipment, instruction and activities.

• LAND MEET SEA DAY CAMP

  August 7-9
  This day camp is a unique event incorporating land, water, recreational and competitive sports. Opportunities to experience these activities firsthand are provided by professionals, coaches and athletes. Enjoy water skiing, jet skiing, basketball, hockey, tennis, outrigger canoeing, paddle boarding and sailing. All ability levels are welcome. Includes participation in all / any events, lunches, goodie bag and t-shirt.

• ANGEL FLIGHT EXPERIENCE

  October 19
  Experience the pleasure of flying in a small plane. Enjoy the views from above as we fly into the Airport in the Sky on Catalina Island! Includes transportation and activities.

• HOLIDAY HARBOR CRUISE

  December 12
  Relax and enjoy the sites of the holiday season of Los Alamitos Bay. We will cruise the bay in electric Duffy boats. Family and friends are welcome. Includes transportation, activities and dinner.
