Clinical Outcomes for Inpatients at Casa Colina
Patients Make Significant Functional Gains in Areas Related to Daily Living,
Mobility, and Increased Independence
Nearly 100% of our patients make functional improvements on the Functional Independence Measure (FIM), which evaluates independence, and activities of daily living. For example, on admission most patients require total or maximum assistance to complete a task. By discharge our patients have improved to the point where they are independent or only require minimal assistance or supervision.
Patients Receive Excellent Medical and Rehabilitation Services, which Translates
into Clinically Relevant Functional Changes and Nearly 90% of Patients Being Discharged Home
Eighty-five percent of Casa Colina patients are discharged back to the community. Three and six months following discharge over 90% of our patients are at home which suggests that our patients learn the skills they need to live independently while at Casa Colina.
