“PRINCE & PRINCESS PAGEANT OF HOPE” TO BE HOSTED BY CASA COLINA CENTERS FOR REHABILITATION ON TUESDAY, MARCH 20
Pomona, CA…Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation is pleased to announce that its Children’s Services will host the “Prince and Princess Pageant of Hope” on Tuesday, March 20 from 4 pm to 7 pm. The event will be held at Casa Colina’s Tamkin Education Center, Building 1D, on Casa Colina’s 20-acre medical and rehabilitation campus in Pomona.

The pageant comes to Casa Colina though the efforts of Jena Sims, Miss Georgia Teen USA, who coordinates events for special needs children and who will be in California with other Miss Teen USA delegates to attend the Miss USA pageant in Hollywood, CA on Friday, March 23rd. Casa Colina Children’s Services staff, parents of children served, and approximately 15 students from the community, are volunteering to make the event a success.

Approximately 20 children from Casa Colina’s Children’s Services, which serves children with acquired and developmental disabilities, will participate in the pageant. Children will be coached by Miss Teen USA delegates and will work on walking and posing on stage. Awards will be presented in various categories, with every child being recognized as a “winner” in a specific category. Crowns and sashes will be awarded to all participants. Participants are from ages 2 to 10 years of age and reside in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties.

The goal of the pageant is to give special needs children the excitement and experience of competing in a “real” pageant that recognizes them for their individualized qualities. Parents of the children will also experience the joy of watching their child be recognized, “on stage and in the spotlight” by their peers and attendees.

PRESS REPRESENTATIVES -- PLEASE CONTACT 909/450-0343 FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS AND ADMITTANCE TO THE EVENT.
