Pomona, CA…Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation is pleased to announce that it will hold a free seminar about Fibromyalgia, often known as “the invisible illness.”

Dr. Thang Le, board certified physician specializing in rheumatology, and Dianne Whiting, MA, PT and Manager of Casa Colina’s Fibromyalgia Program, will discuss the latest research, effective medical management, appropriate exercise, and dealing with pain associated with the disease. Emotional issues of people living with Fibromyalgia will also be explored.

This special event will be held on Tuesday, June 19 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Casa Colina’s Tamkin Education Center, Building 1D, which is located on the Casa Colina campus at 255 East Bonita Avenue (at Garey) in Pomona. Refreshments will be served and seating is limited. Please call 909/596-7733, ext. 2275 to reserve your space.

ABOUT FIBROMYALGIA: Fibromyalgia is a complex chronic pain illness that is recognized by the American Medical Association, the National Institutes of Health and the American College of Rheumatology. Fibromyalgia experts estimate that about 10 million Americans and approximately 5% of the population worldwide suffer with Fibromyalgia. While it is most common in women, the illness strikes men, women and children of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Fibromyalgia can often interfere with routine daily activities and for those with severe symptoms, it can be extremely debilitating.

ABOUT CASA COLINA: Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation provides comprehensive physical rehabilitation and specialized medical services at its completely renovated 20-acre campus in Pomona, California. It has served the community for over 70 years and is the region’s leader in providing a continuum of rehabilitative care that includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, highly specialized medical programs, residential facilities and recreational programs for people of all ages and with varying disabilities.
