FREE COMMUNITY SEMINAR IN POMONA “WHAT EVERY PARENT NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT CONCUSSIONS” THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5 FROM 6 TO 8 PM
Pomona, CA…Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation is pleased to announce that it will hold a free seminar for coaches, parents and caregivers regarding concussions and the importance of quick and effective treatment in athletes. Clinicians specializing in concussions from the Casa Colina Sports Medicine Center will host the seminar.

David Patterson, M.D., Casa Colina Hospital Medical Director and a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, will discuss the prevalence of undetected concussions in athletes, what a concussion is and how it is detected, as well as the importance of quickly and effectively treating concussions to help prevent long-term impairment.

Additional information will be presented by Brian Roberts, MS, ATC, manager of Casa Colina Athletic Programs, and will include pre- and post-concussion testing via ImPACT computer software, which allows physicians to quickly and accurately diagnose impairments in athletes with head injuries.

This free community event will be held on Thursday, November 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Casa Colina’s Tamkin Education Center, Building 1D, which is located on the Casa Colina campus at 255 East Bonita Avenue (at Garey) in Pomona.
