FREE COMMUNITY SEMINAR “LIVING WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS” TO BE HELD AT CASA COLINA IN POMONA TUESDAY, MARCH 17 FROM 6 TO 8:00 PM
Pomona, CA… Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, will hold a free community seminar designed for individuals who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The seminar will be held at Casa Colina’s Tamkin Outpatient Center, Building 1D, located at 255 East Bonita Avenue (at Garey) in Pomona.

The main topics of discussion will include current and new medications for treating MS patients, as well as methods of improving balance through physical therapy and exercise.
Participants are also invited to bring questions for seminar presenters.

Guest speakers include Richard Shubin, M.D., board-certified Neurologist and Program Medical Director for the Casa Colina Multiple Sclerosis Center; Gail Hartley, Nurse Practitioner, and Kathy San Martino, Physical Therapist with special certification as a Neurological Clinical Specialist. All presenters are lead clinicians involved in treating patients at Casa Colina’s Multiple Sclerosis Center.

A social worker from the National MS Society will also be present with literature and educational materials for seminar participants.
