Pomona, CA.… Families are invited to participate in a free event entitled “Walk & Roll for Casa’s Kids” on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation, Children’s Services, located at 255 East Bonita Avenue (at Garey) in Pomona. The event is designed to raise money to support rehabilitation services for children from the community with acquired or developmental disabilities.
Casa Colina is a not-for-profit organization that depends largely upon the fundraising efforts of the Casa Colina Foundation to continue offering highly specialized medical and rehabilitation services to the community.
This free family event will feature a Walk & Roll Parade at 10am, games and prizes, music and entertainment, bounce house, petting zoo, vendors and snacks.
Various levels of participation are offered which include 1) individuals and families attending the event, 2) forming a “Walk & Roll” team and joining in the parade, 3) individual or business sponsorship, and 4) free vendor / exhibitor participation.
The Walk & Roll Parade will consist of teams formed to raise money for the Casa Colina Children’s Services. All parade teams require advance registration to participate. Strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs are welcome to join. No pets please (however service dogs on a leash will be permitted.) Please do not bring bikes, skateboards, scooters or roller blades. Prizes will be awarded to all parade participants.
Family-friendly vendors are encouraged to register early for a free 10’ x 10’ exhibit space at the event. It is requested that each vendor provide a $50 silent auction item and host one child-friendly game at his or her booth. Vendors must register before the day of the event.
