CASA COLINA OFFERS FREE COMMUNITY SEMINAR IMPROVING HOMEWORK SUCCESS FOR CHILDREN, APRIL 27

WHAT: In its continued efforts to help children overcome their learning difficulties, Casa Colina's Learning & Language Center will host a free seminar for parents and educators to help overcome homework challenges with their child or student.

Presenters include Cindy Sendor, MA, CCC-SLP, and Director of Children's Services and Chelsea Gladue, Speech Language Pathologist at Casa Colina Children's Services. Topics of discussion will include how to prepare your child for success by creating the right environment, the role of the parent vs. child during homework and, finally, what to do if it doesn't work.

For more information about the free community seminar and to reserve a seat, please call (866) 724-4132.

Those in attendance will also receive information about Casa Colina's new Learning & Language Center. The Center is led by a team of licensed neuropsychologists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists and special educators who provide children ages five and older, and their families with specific interventions and strategies to help them identify and overcome their learning challenges. The Center's team meets regularly and collaborates with parents, public and private educators, and referring physicians to address students' critical needs.
