In its continued efforts to educate the community about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Casa Colina is pleased to host a free community seminar on Wednesday, September 14.
Guest speakers include Dr. Rohinder Sandhu, a board-certified internal medicine and pulmonary disease physician with Casa Colina’s Pulmonary Disease Center, and George Kopiloff, PT, DPT, a Casa Colina staff physical therapist specializing in COPD.
Topics of discussion include what causes COPD and who is affected; how people are diagnosed with this chronic illness; how a medical doctor treats COPD; the role of pulmonary rehab and therapy to complement medical care; and demonstrating simple “at home” exercises and other ways to improve the quality of living with COPD.
