Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation Launches a New "Buy-A-Brick" Fundraising Campaign

Casa Colina announced today its new "Buy-a-Brick" fundraising campaign which offers the opportunity for community supporters to purchase personally inscribed bricks or tiles that will be used to pave garden courtyards on its 20-acre medical and rehabilitation campus in Pomona. Bricks purchased by Casa Colina donors in previous years will also be moved to the garden courtyards.

Commemorative brick inscriptions typically reflect the name of a donor, honor a loved one, or recognize a special occasion.

Funds that are raised from brick or tile purchases will be used to ensure Casa Colina's continued ability to provide optimal medical and rehabilitation services to the community. Casa Colina Hospital is the only freestanding,-not-for profit, independent rehabilitation hospital in the state of California.

"We have had such tremendous support in this community for more than 75 years, from donors who consistently go above and beyond to help our patients discover what is possible through quality rehabilitation services," commented Dr. Felice L. Loverso, President and CEO of Casa Colina. "This is a chance for an individual or business to have their contribution recognized in a tangible way, and for present and future patients of Casa Colina to know who helped make their recovery possible."

The "Buy-a-Brick" campaign provides community members and businesses with two options to show their support: a 4" x 8" Commemorative Brick for a tax-deductible gift of $250 each; or a 12" x 12" Commemorative Paving Tile for a tax-deductible gift of $2,500 each.

For more information or to buy-a-brick directly, please contact the Casa Colina Foundation at 909/596-7733 x. 2209 or visit www.casacolina.org.

About Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation

Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation was founded in 1936 in Chino, CA under the leadership of Frances Eleanor "Mother" Smith and other community leaders and physicians to provide rehabilitative care to children with polio. In the early 1950s when polio was at epidemic proportions, a plan was developed to build a new hospital in nearby Pomona, CA. In 1959, the new hospital was completed and Casa Colina expanded its medical and physical rehabilitation services to concentrate on treating people of all ages and disabilities resulting from neurological and/or orthopedic conditions. In recent years, Casa Colina has renovated its entire 20-acre Pomona campus to include a state-of-the-art acute rehabilitation hospital, outpatient center, post-acute residential rehabilitation center, children's services, community-based adult services, specialized physicians' clinics, diagnostic imaging, ambulatory surgery center, and other highly specialized services.
