WHAT: In its continued efforts to educate the community about visual impairments and the benefits of low vision rehabilitation, Casa Colina is pleased to host two free community seminars.
The seminars will be presented by Kierstyn Napier-Dovorany, OD, FAAO, who specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with low vision at the Casa Colina Low Vision Center.
Topics of discussion include what is visual impairment and how it is caused; what is low vision rehabilitation and how you or a loved one may benefit; ways to improve function in the home and community with low vision; how to utilize other senses to assist with function and improve quality of live; assistive devises to help compensate for low vision; and a question and answer session.
