WHAT: In its continued efforts to educate the community about healthy aging, Casa Colina is pleased to host a free community education seminar on Tuesday, April 29 from 6 to 8 pm at its Pomona Campus.
Topics of discussion include assessing normal aging vs. health problems; common risks associated with taking multiple medications; understanding and accepting role changes among the elderly; fall risks, balance and cognition, vision issues and safety in the home; memory loss and depression; and the role of an outpatient senior evaluation program to keep seniors as healthy and independent as possible.
Guest speakers include Harvey Cohen, M.D. board-certified internal medicine and geriatric medicine; Jake Hazen, Occupational Therapist; and Elizabeth Cisneros, Ph.D. Presenters are key clinicians from Casa Colina's Senior Evaluation Program.
