CASA COLINA OFFERS FREE COMMUNITY SEMINAR “LIVING BETTER WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS” TUESDAY, MARCH 15 FROM 6 TO 8 PM

WHAT:

In its continued efforts to educate the community about new medical and rehabilitation options for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Casa Colina is pleased to host a free community education seminar on Tuesday, March 15 from 6 to 8 pm at its Pomona Campus.

Topics of discussion include a brief overview of “what is MS?”; the latest therapies and medications; benefits of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy; how a sleep study may help improve quality of sleep; managing fatigue; and memory and attention exercises. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Guest speakers include board-certified neurologist Richard Shubin, M.D., Program Medical Director of the Casa Colina Multiple Sclerosis Center; Kathy San Martino, Physical Therapist, Neurological Clinical Specialist, and MS Certified Specialist; and Melanie Lane, Speech Language Pathologist.
