Movement Disorder Treatment in Southern California

A New Sense of Control

If you’ve been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease or another movement disorder, it’s easy to become discouraged. While typically there is no cure, there are many new and exciting treatments.

Casa Colina’s Movement Disorders Center is the only facility of its kind in the area devoted to patients with Parkinson’s disease, post-polio syndrome, and other movement disorders. We have a neurologist-led team of Parkinson’s disease experts that collaborates to provide optimal care for each patient with each visit.

Our specialists provide a comprehensive approach that examines all aspects of Parkinson’s disease, post-polio syndrome, or the neurological disorder that affects each individual – focusing on the diagnoses, treatment, aftercare, education and support system.

The Movement Disorders Center is recommended if you have symptoms of:

  • Tremor or trembling of the hands, arms, legs, jaw, or face
  • Rigidity or stiffness of the limbs or trunk
  • Slow or minimal movement
  • Poorly articulated speech
  • Shuffling gait or stooped posture
  • Loss of facial expression
  • Postural instability, impaired balance or coordination
  • Dementia or depression

We use the most innovative treatments and therapies available today.

You will benefit from:

  • Assessment, treatment and specialized care by a board-certified neurologist
  • Management of the disease and reduced functional decline
  • Botox treatments, if recommended by the physician
  • Improvement of overall quality of life and satisfaction
  • Exercise in warm and cool pools and a full gymnasium
  • Ongoing community lectures and education programs
  • Participation in support groups
  • Access to adaptive technologies for maximum productivity
  • On-site access to Casa Colina’s Outdoor Adventures Program

We’ll explore every possibility – from new medications to Botox treatments to innovative therapies – so you’ll have a brighter outlook and a more rewarding lifestyle. We’ll give you, or your loved one, new hope along with an improved quality of life. You’ll soon discover there are more options for your movement disorder than you ever imagined.
