Multiple Sclerosis Treatment in Southern California

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. MS occurs when the body’s own immune system attacks the protective covering, called myelin, that surrounds nerve cells. The symptoms of multiple sclerosis vary widely. Their severity and frequency depends on the type of MS that is diagnosed.

We created the Multiple Sclerosis Center to fit the specific needs of those with MS. It is the only facility of its kind in the area.

Casa Colina has a neurologist-led team of multiple sclerosis experts. We take a comprehensive approach by examining all aspects of multiple sclerosis that affect each individual – focusing on the diagnoses, aftercare, education and support of the patient and their family members.

This program is recommended if you have (or had):

  • New symptoms or no recent symptoms
  • Blurred vision or blindness
  • Loss of balance, dizziness or vertigo
  • Poor coordination, spasticity, or trouble walking
  • Slurred speech
  • Numbness or tingling
  • Cognitive problems with memory or concentration
  • Paralysis
  • Swallowing disorders
  • Tremors or seizures

If you’ve been diagnosed with MS, it’s easy to become discouraged. While there is no cure, there are many new and exciting treatments. More can be done for people with MS than ever before.

We will help improve your quality of life while stabilizing this disease by exploring every possibility – from assistive devices to new medications, Botox treatments and innovative therapies.
