Introducing the Learning & Language Center
If your child is struggling in school, he or she may need to have a learning
and language assessment. At the Casa Colina Learning & Language Center,
there is academic and language processing help for a variety of challenges,
including attention deficit disorders, reading disorders, organization
deficits, and other academic struggles. This unique hospital-based center
is unlike any other tutoring program or learning center in Southern California.
It offers a neuropsychologist-led team of clinical therapists and educators
who provide children and their families with specific interventions and
strategies to help students face and overcome their learning challenges
and experience academic success.
The Center provides the latest technology to help uncover the cause of
learning difficulties and determine how to best resolve them. It is a
warm and enriching environment where children ages 5 and over have an
opportunity to do more than find the answer to a math or reading problem.
We offer a variety of workshops for children. If you're not sure which
one is right for your child because he or she has not yet had a comprehensive
evaluation, a licensed neuropsychologist will conduct a 45-minute screening
to determine which evaluations and/or services are recommended. Depending
upon the results, a speech language pathologist, occupational therapist
or the neuropsychologist will perform highly detailed evaluations and
develop a customized educational plan to help maximize your child's

grammar, and composition.

are trained to help the child or adolescent to monitor their own attention
to task and make repairs as needed.
Interactive Metronome is an assessment and treatment tool used in therapy to improve the neurological
processes of motor planning, sequencing and processing for individuals
