Industrial Rehabilitation for Employers and their Employees
We take the guesswork out of determining when injured employees should
return to work.
How do you know if someone recovering from an injury is really ready to
return work? Our new Industrial Rehabilitation Program will objectively
assess a worker’s abilities to perform specific job tasks, such
as lifting. We carefully evaluate each individual to help determine if
they should return to their position at their previous capacity or with
a modified workload. Then we show them how to return to work faster and
in a safer manner. In the process, we help employers fulfill their RU91
requirements, reduce overall injury rates as well as the likelihood of
litigation regarding ADA compliance. We can also help to reduce costs
associated with Worker’s Compensation premiums.
We measure injured workers’ abilities.
A Functional Capacity Evaluation measures an injured worker’s physical
abilities, using the Isernhagen method that has an unparalleled track
record of lowering costs for all types of employers and environments.
It includes a comprehensive test of 29 work-related functional activities
that can be evaluated over a two-part, two-day period for accuracy. Once
determined, the worker’s abilities can be better matched to specific
tasks of a job.
Their work environment.
Our Ergonomic Assessment evaluates the way an individual interacts with
his or her work environment. We then adapt the tasks to maximize the worker’s
health and comfort by showing him or her how to move in the most efficient
way, which often helps improve one’s overall productivity.
Their job requirements.
We conduct a Functional Job Analysis to identify and quantify the physical
components of jobs by carefully examining their unique and essential functions.
We not only look at the critical demands of a job, but the tools and equipment
required. This includes taking worksite measurements of various forces,
distances, and repetitions to better identify potential modifications.
And improve their conditioning.
We offer a Work Conditioning Program supervised by a physical therapist
to help your injured workers return to work in a cost-effective and productive
manner. It includes:
1. Job Specific Training in a safe, and bio-mechanically correct fashion.
2. Gross and Injury-Specific Exercise Training and Conditioning to help
ensure that the employee returns to work without deteriorating.
3. Industrial Athlete Education to teach self-awareness, self-responsibility,
and the importance of teamwork. It’s an excellent tool to prepare
anyone to return to work fully ready who has been off work for an extended
period of time, so there is minimal chance of a re-occurrence of injuries.
This program may be conducted over 2 to 4 hours a day, 3 days a week.
There’s nothing better for an employee’s morale than to feel
needed and well cared for after an injury. We can help them get back to
where they belong – work.
