A Unique Opportunity for OIF/OEF Military Personnel with Traumatic Brain Injuries and their Families

Traumatic brain injury affects not only the individual, but the family and community at large. At Casa Colina's Survive & Thrive, the goal is to use the experience we have gained over three decades in working with individuals and families affected by traumatic brain injury to rebuild lives.

Survive & Thrive is a 5-day opportunity for OIF/OEF military personnel (active duty and non-active) and their families to discover solutions to overcome the challenges of traumatic brain injury. It is presented by Casa Colina, a non-profit national leader in brain injury rehabilitation.

Thanks to grant funding, Survive & Thrive is free to the first 12 families who meet selection criteria. It includes transportation, meals, lodging and child care, in addition to the experiential therapeutic program provided by Casa Colina's professional staff.

Survive & Thrive offers opportunities to:
  • Gain new strategies to address the issues that brain injury brings into living as a family
  • Build networks that can support you beyond the Survive & Thrive experience
  • Reconnect and enjoy being a family together
  • Develop hope for your family's future

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) / Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) era military personnel with traumatic brain injury and their spouses and children. All applicants will need to meet Casa Colina's eligibility requirements.
