CASA COLINA AUTISM CONFERENCE
TO BE HELD MARCH 10TH AND 11TH
IN CLAREMONT
Pomona, CA…Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation will hold a free sports medicine seminar on Tuesday, February 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Tamkin Education Center, Building 1D, on the Casa Colina campus at 255 East Bonita Avenue (at Garey) in Pomona. The seminar will be repeated in conjunction with San Antonio Community Hospital at Rancho Rehabilitation Center, 7777 Milliken Avenue, G30, in Rancho Cucamonga (one block north of Foothill Blvd.) on Wednesday, February 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Topics of discussion include common overuse injuries in young athletes involved with overhead activity sports such as baseball, football, tennis, swimming and volleyball. Ways to prevent shoulder and elbow injuries and medical and rehabilitative treatment of injured athletes will also be discussed.
Presenters include Michael D. Marger, M.D., a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon and new associate at Garey Orthopedic Medical Group in Pomona, and Phil Putignano, DPT, OCS, CSCS, Program Director of Casa Colina’s Sports Medicine Center. Dr. Marger is a sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery, arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, and general orthopaedics.
This seminar is designed for coaches, trainers, athletes, and parents of young athletes.
