ASAP – AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES PROGRAM

The After School Activities Program (ASAP) was started in April, 2001 in response to the community’s need for after school recreational programs for children with Autism and other related neurological disorders. The program is directed and coordinated by Casa Colina staff from Outdoor Adventures and Children’s Services programs. Experts in the fields of recreational, physical and occupational therapies implement weekly two hour sessions with a focus on recreation, sports, team-work, social skills, aquatic activities, motor coordination, and fun.

While the goals and objectives of this program are therapeutic in nature, we never underestimate the importance of fun and the opportunity to learn skills that will carry through into adulthood.
