Casa Colina’s 2010 Tribute to Courage Gala - Registration & Sponsorship
2010 Tribute To Courage Invitation PDF

Casa Colina's Tribute to Courage is a black-tie gala that celebrates the success of rehabilitation. With the help of notable people such as author Steven King, actress Bonnie Hunt and coach John Wooden, Casa Colina has told many successful stories of the power of rehabilitation with drama and passion.

Past honorees of this event have included wounded warriors from Iraq and Afghanistan, business executives, young adults, and people from every walk of life who have gained the status of "hero" by their single-minded pursuit of "total rehabilitation" after an illness or injury.

The evening provides a way of educating people about the rehabilitation process and what it can mean to someone whose life "completely changes in an instant." The proceeds of this event help fund Casa Colina's ability to provide free or uncompensated care to patients in need, as well as to ensure ongoing excellence in rehabilitation services.

She and her husband, Bob Woodruff, are the authors of In an Instant: A Family’s Journey of Love and Healing, The New York Times best-selling book about their family’s difficult journey during Bob’s critical injury in Iraq while anchoring a broadcast for ABC News. A frank and compelling account of how their lives came together, were blown apart, and then were miraculously put together again, In an Instant shares how they persevered with grit, but also with humor, through intense trauma and fear.
