Why is this conference offered free of charge to rehabilitation professionals?
Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare has a long-standing history
of providing quality rehabilitation services to its patients. It is also
highly committed to promoting the educational needs of rehabilitation
professionals on its own campus and far beyond. Due to the small number
of conferences offered in the western United States that are specific
to aphasia, TBI and dysphagia rehabilitation, Casa Colina is establishing
this inaugural conference dedicated to the discussion of neurologically-impaired
communication disorders. The conference is offered at no cost to professionals
in the fields of speech language pathology, neuropsychology, occupational
therapy and other related professions to further the education and understanding
of neurologically-based communication disorders and, in turn, to help
improve patient outcomes everywhere.
About Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare
Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare was founded in 1936 to
provide rehabilitative care for children with polio. In 1959, its hospital
in Pomona, Calif., was completed, expanding its services to treat people
of all ages with neurological and/or orthopedic disabilities. More recently,
Casa Colina’s 20-acre campus renovations have broadened its services
to include highly specialized medical surgical care. Casa Colina was recognized by
Modern Healthcare in 2015 as the 13th largest rehabilitation provider in the United States. Its current campus
includes a state-of-the-art acute rehabilitation hospital, medical surgical
hospital, outpatient center, residential rehabilitation center, children's
services, adult day health care, specialized physician clinics, diagnostic
imaging, ambulatory surgery center, outdoor recreation program, a medical
office building, and more. For additional information, please visit
