Southern California Diagnostic Imaging Center
The Casa Colina Diagnostic Imaging Center is accredited by the American
College of Radiology for Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET/CT, and
Nuclear Medicine. All imaging technologists are fully certified and an
on-site radiologist supervises all work. The center is located on the
campus of Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare.
The center offers a variety of routine, screening and specialized tests
and procedures to help referring primary care physicians and specialists
diagnose and treat patients. Feel free to contact us to inquire about
a specific study. A partial list of popular exams includes:
-
- Biopsies
- Cardiac calcium scoring
- CT enterography
- CT urography
- Cystography
- DEXA bone density scan
- Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)
- Injections: epidural, steroid
- IVP
- Low dose chest CT
- Mammography: digital screening and diagnostic
-
- Modified barium swallow
- MR Enterography
- MRCP
- Musculoskeletal studies
- Myelogram
- OB ultrasound
- Prostate MRI
- Scoliosis
- Upper GI
- Urography
- Vascular ultrasound
Our modern facility relies on state-of-the-art technology and equipment
to provide accurate results:
Nuclear Medicine Imaging- Siemens Symbia Evo Excel SPECT
The Casa Colina Diagnostic Imaging Center is pleased to offer state-of-the-art
nuclear medicine studies. Unlike conventional SPECT systems, our Siemens
Symbia Evo Excel SPECT system can accommodate patients in gurneys, hospital
beds and patients weighing up to 500 lbs. In addition, the shorter tunnel
length and larger bore make scans more comfortable for claustrophobic patients.
Providing unique information that often cannot be obtained using other
imaging methods, nuclear medicine offers the potential to identify disease
in its earliest stages. A radiotracer is injected or swallowed, giving
off energy in the form of gamma rays as it travels through the area of
interest. Gamma rays are detected by a special camera and a computer to
create images that will be interpreted by the radiologist.
MRI - Siemens MAGNATOM Verio 3.0T Magnet
- Increased patient comfort
- 3D imaging
- Accommodates patients weighing up to 450 lbs.
- Images multiple exams with a single coil for decreased scan times
CT - Siemens SOMATOM Definition AS, 64-slice Scanner
- Fast exam times; most scans completed in minutes
- Accommodates patients weighing up to 450 lbs.
- 3D imaging
Ultrasound - Philips iU22 and Philips Epic
- 3D imaging, color Doppler and spectral waveform information
- All digital technology measures and adapts to patients' individual properties
in real time
Special Procedures Suite - Siemens Digital Multipurpose AXIOM C-arm System
Myelograms, arthrograms, bone biopsies
Bone Density - GE Lunar
- Dual energy x-ray absorption
- Total body, lumbar, spine, hips
- Total body fat measurements
PET/CT
PET/CT may detect the early onset of disease before it is evident on other
imaging tests by identifying body changes at the cellular level
Digital Mammography
- Evaluations using CAD (computer aided detection) to detect subtle malignancy
- Faster exam times; Greater sensitivity
X-Ray
- Complete digital imaging
- Faster exam times
- Stitched images for Scoliosis
