Apple Valley Day Program

For Individuals with Brain Injury & Other Neurologic Diagnoses

The Casa Colina at Apple Valley Day Program offers a supportive and engaging environment designed to help participants enhance their quality of life. Our person-centered approach fosters cognitive, physical, emotional, and social recovery while promoting independence and community participation.

How we help

Our program is designed to help participants thrive. We focus on practical, goal-directed activities to promote and/or restore function, build cognitive skills, improve social interactions, and support emotional adjustment. Key areas of focus include:

  • Life Skills Training: Hands-on support with daily living, from meal planning to personal organization.
  • Cognitive Skill Building: Engaging activities to sharpen memory, problem-solving, and communication.
  • Social/Behavioral Shaping: Learning and implementing strategies for success when learning new skills and interacting with your peers.
  • Emotional Well Being: Develop the ability to recognize, experience and manage thoughts and feelings in a constructive way.
  • Health and Wellness: Tailored exercises and activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.
  • Community Integration: Opportunities to plan, coordinate and participate in meaningful activities in the local community.

The program is open to adults aged 18 and over who have a brain injury or other neurologic diagnosis and are in need of a supportive day program.

Sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to work in therapeutic environments for five hours each day, two days per week. Lunch is provided onsite from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
