Our Community Benefits Report and Community Healthcare Needs Assessment

Casa Colina is focused on providing direct medical and rehabilitation services in the community as stated in its mission: “...to provide individuals the opportunity to maximize their medical recovery and rehabilitation potential efficiently in an environment that recognizes their uniqueness, dignity and self esteem.” We are aware that for some people, lack of insurance or other funding is a barrier to receiving a continuum of care. In addition, the health and well-being of the community as a whole, and the strength of our sister organizations in creating a network of care, are critical factors for all of us.

As a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, Casa Colina has a special responsibility to ensure that our services are available to all people who can benefit from them and that we do our part in providing for the health and wellness of the community.

In the Fiscal Year Ending (FYE) 2017, Casa Colina provided community benefits in the amount of $5,876,308 which ranged from free sports injury screenings and health education for the public and professionals, as well as to support other community organizations and provide internship opportunities for the next generation of nurses, therapists, and physicians.

These community benefits are prioritized based on the health care needs of people in our community. To learn more about what these specific needs are, every three years Casa Colina conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment. The previous 2015 report is available here. The most recent Community Health Needs Assessment was completed in March 2018 and is available to view here.

The Implementation Strategy describes how Casa Colina plans to address significant health needs identified in the 2018 Community Health Needs Assessment. For each significant health need, Casa Colina provides programs and resources and collaborates with other hospitals and organizations in the community to address the needs of the people we serve. The previous 2016 report is available to view here. The most recent report was completed in March 2018 and is available to view here.

To maintain non-profit 501(c)3 status, Casa Colina completes and publishes a Community Benefits Report. This Report for FYE 2017 is available to view here.
