High Adventure for All

For a Life Without Limits
Welcome to Casa Colina Outdoor Adventures, a program that focuses on empowering people with disabilities by creating opportunities for challenging and exciting outdoor adventure activities. By focusing on abilities, not disabilities, the program enables its members to experience success both physically and emotionally. These recreation programs utilize the natural world to create unique opportunities where people with disabilities can:
- Participate in day trips or adventure tours
- Enjoy a sense of community working with others toward a common goal
- Gain self confidence by experiencing success through acquiring new skills
- Share new outdoor experiences and adventurous activities with people of all abilities
Since 1985, the Outdoor Adventure Program of Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation has successfully and safely provided high adventure experiences to thousands of persons with disabilities. We take pride in providing a program of wide scope and diversity, addressing the interests and needs of people with disabilities.
After 34 year of incredible leadership and vision, the founder and director of Outdoor Adventures has chosen to retire and pursue personal adventures with family and friends. For a short time beginning in November 2011, the day to day operation of trips and excursions will be put on hold while new staff is recruited and trained. This is being done to ensure the absolute safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers, and our new staff members. Casa Colina plans to resume Outdoor Adventures activities in the spring of 2012. We wish Anne Johnson well in her retirement and look forward to a redefined and reinvigorated adventure and sports effort as part of Casa Colina's continuum of care.
