Optimal Living with Multiple Sclerosis - Pomona Campus

A 12-week program designed by the National MS Society to help people experiencing changes in their MS to take control, improve physical function, regain and maintain independence, and overcome challenges. Facilitated by the occupational therapists and physical therapists at the Casa Colina Multiple Sclerosis Center. Parkinson's Disease Speech & Exercise Group - Pomona Campus

Designed for those diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy are rotated throughout the sessions. All therapists are certified in LSVT BIG and LOUD, the latest integrated rehabilitation approach for Parkinson's disease. Facilitated by the Casa Colina Movement Disorders Center.
2 hours per week on Tuesdays from 11 am to 1 pm at the Casa Colina Outpatient Center

Parkinson's Disease Wellness Program - Azusa Center

Classes are designed for those living with Parkinson's Disease to help improve speech and maintain optimum levels of fitness. The exercise class is led by a physical therapist and the speech class is led by a speech-language pathologist.

Conversation Group - Azusa Center

This special group is designed to enhance communication skills for people recovering from strokes and brain injuries. Led by a speech-language pathologist, the class focuses on learning strategies to improve interaction and practices daily conversation skills. Participants must be able to verbalize simple and functional phrases.

Communicating With Aphasia Group - Pomona Campus

Casa Colina’s Outpatient Communicating With Aphasia Group is designed to encourage social camaraderie while promoting receptive and expressive language skills to enhance daily conversations. The group focuses on individuals who have communication difficulties as a result of a stroke and/or other brain injuries. Speech-language pathologists facilitate the use of specific strategies to address word-finding, initiation in social contexts and problem-solving communication breakdowns. Access to additional services and resources within the community are also provided.
