This prestigious rating, based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, highlights Casa Colina's dedication to providing a safe, comfortable, and hygienic environment for its patients. 

What makes this achievement even more significant is that Casa Colina is one of only two hospitals in all of Los Angeles County to receive this distinction. This underscores the hospital's unwavering focus on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and patient satisfaction. 

About the HCAHPS Survey 

The HCAHPS survey is a national, standardized evaluation of patient experiences in hospitals. Administered to a random sample of adult inpatients, the survey gathers feedback on various aspects of hospital care, including: 

  • Communication with hospital staff 

  • Responsiveness of hospital staff 

  • Communication about medicines 

  • Discharge information 

  • Cleanliness of hospital environment 

  • Quietness of hospital environment 

  • Transition of care 

  • Willingness to recommend the hospital 

Hospitals receive star ratings based on their performance on these measures, providing patients with a valuable tool for comparing hospitals and making informed healthcare decisions. To qualify for a star rating, hospitals must have received at least 100 completed HCAHPS surveys within a given quarter.
