Before you or a loved one is admitted to the hospital for a medical condition or surgery, it’s only natural to wonder ‘What will it be like?’ At Casa Colina Hospital, we provide the area’s surgeons and their patients with state-of-the-art equipment, experienced 24/7 physician and nursing staff supported by other clinical professionals, private rooms and bathrooms, and access to a broad range of care throughout our 20-acre campus to support an optimum recovery.
We want you to feel at ease here, right away. If you are having surgery, this begins by meeting with a pre-operative nurse to go over any necessary guidelines days ahead of your admission. Since there is no emergency room here, your surgery will occur on time without the stress of unexpected delays. If you are with us for an inpatient stay that doesn’t involve surgery, our many physician specialists are here for you to successfully treat a broad range of medical conditions.
When you arrive in our Pre-Operative Unit, you’ll discover a relaxing environment with soothing, natural lighting. The nurses and anesthesiologist will prepare you for surgery and make you feel completely at ease. Once you are moved into one of our spacious surgical suites, your doctor will have access to the latest state-of-the-art surgical tools and technology to help ensure your surgery goes smoothly – from the ceiling-mounted visual systems to robotic equipment and multiple monitors to track vital signs, health records, and much more. A highly experienced clinical team will assist your doctor throughout the procedure. Afterwards, you will be watched closely in our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit while your loved ones wait in the nearby visiting area down the hall.
After you recover from surgery, you will be transferred to the second floor where you will recuperate in one of the 25 well-appointed private rooms with personal bathrooms. Every room has large monitors equipped with a two-way communication system to reach your nurses quickly, secure access to your current medical records, DirectTV® for a variety of entertainment options, a private bathroom, and an optional sleeping area for family members.
For patients who require concentrated medical care due to an illness or injury, you will be cared for in our 6-bed Intensive Care Unit for continuous monitoring by our registered nurses.
Down the hall, the beautiful visiting lounge features comfortable furniture overlooking an outdoor sun deck with plenty of sunshine and large artwork murals for patients and their families to enjoy.
