Did you know high-intensity exercise is shown to be neuro-protective and neuro-restorative? Designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease who require minimal assistance, this program integrates evidencebased aerobic exercise with general wellness activities, including LSVT BIG and PWR! moves and high-level balance and aerobic exercise.

This special group is designed to enhance communication skills for people recovering from strokes and brain injuries. Led by a speech-language pathologist, the class focuses on learning strategies to improve interaction and practices daily conversation skills. Participants must be able to verbalize simple and functional phrases.

Casa Colina’s Outpatient Communicating With Aphasia Group is designed to encourage social camaraderie while promoting receptive and expressive language skills to enhance daily conversations. The group focuses on individuals who have communication difficulties as a result of a stroke and/or other brain injuries. Speech-language pathologists facilitate the use of specific strategies to address word-finding, initiation in social contexts and problem-solving communication breakdowns. Access to additional services and resources within the community are also provided.
