For the Seventh Consecutive Year, Casa Colina Receives Healthgrades Outstanding Experience Award

One of only four hospitals in L.A. County to earn this prestigious national recognition for 2026 

POMONA, Calif., May 19, 2026 – Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare is proud to announce that it has received the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award for 2026. The award recognizes hospitals that provide an overall outstanding patient experience based on survey data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS). 

This year, Casa Colina Hospital was one of only four hospitals in Los Angeles County to receive it and one of just two in Los Angeles County to receive it for seven years annually. 
 
Each year, Healthgrades evaluates thousands of hospitals that submit patient experience surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Of those, Casa Colina Hospital outperformed its peers to achieve the award. According to these surveys, Casa Colina Hospital boasts an 85% Patient Experience Rating (18% above the national average). 

Real patients determine the results of these surveys. Questions focus on patients’ perspectives of their care in the hospital, from nurse communication, hospital cleanliness and noise levels, and medication and post-discharge care instructions. The measures also include whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family and their overall rating of the hospital.

Casa Colina continually seeks to improve the patient experience through a variety of ways. In addition to participating in surveys such as the HCAHPS, Casa Colina invites former patients to tell their stories and help improve the patient experience through its Patient & Family Advocacy Council (PFAC). The PFAC gives patients and their families or caregivers the opportunity to educate Casa Colina clinicians and administrators about their own real patient experiences in an effort to increase the overall quality of care at Casa Colina.

*Healthgrades evaluated 3,020 hospitals that submitted at least 100 patient experience surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), covering admissions from January 2024 to December 2024. Hospitals in the bottom 20% for overall clinical quality were excluded from consideration.
