Below please find the Outdoor Adventures and Wheelchair Sports program
calendar for 2024. Check back frequently as trips may be added or modified.
To sign up for participation, please visit our Participant Forms page and follow the instructions to submit your application materials. Outdoor Adventures staff will then contact you with instructions on how to pay any applicable trip fees.
Transportation to all activities and events is limited and must be reserved in advance. All paperwork and registration must be completed at least 5 working days prior to your event.

Inclusive Pickleball
Upland Sports Arena, Upland
1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Experience this exciting paddle sport that combines tennis, badminton,
and ping-pong. Session will include a warm-up, instruction/demonstration,
doubles competition, and a cool-down/stretch period. Cost includes paddles,
balls, and group instruction. Participants should wear comfortable clothing
and bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.

Beat the Heat 2024
Long Beach and Glendora, California
Beat the Heat is Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare's annual
adaptive sports and recreation camp for people with disabilities! Featuring
a wide array of adaptive recreation activities and wheelchair sports,
Beat the Heat takes place August 20-22 at various locations in Long Beach
and Glendora, California.
Golf Virtual Tournament
Golf Envy, La Verne
1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
$35
Indoor state-of-the-art golf simulators provide immediate feedback on stroke
mechanics in a life-like golf setting. Participants will hit golf balls
into a green screen. A simulated tournament will take place after warm-up strokes.
Over the Line
Pioneer Park, San Dimas
1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
$35
Over-the-Line is a fun, highly strategic bat-and-ball sport that involves
a batter, pitcher, and fielders. The objective for the batter is to get
a hit without a fielder catching it in the air or on the first bounce.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a hat, sunscreen,
and water. Cost covers instruction and the use of adaptive equipment.
Makapo Paddling- Outrigger Canoe
Newport Aquatic Center
10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
$75
Join Casa Colina as we collaborate with Makapo Paddling to build camaraderie
on the water while learning to operate a double-hull kayak! Participants
should wear comfortable clothing and bring a hat, sunscreen, and water.
Cost includes lunch, group instruction, and life jacket rental.

Bonelli Park, San Dimas
11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Join Casa Colina as we explore the natural beauty of Bonelli Regional Park
from a kayak. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring
a hat, sunscreen, and water. Cost includes lunch, group instruction, and
life jacket rental.(Park entry is an extra fee.)

US Sailing Center, Long Beach

Join Casa Colina and the US Sailing Center for an exciting, hands-on sailing
experience! Learn the basics of sailing in Los Alamitos Bay, Long Beach
Harbor, and other locations. Participants should wear comfortable clothing
