Salary & Benefits

Starting January 2026, salary by year is as follows:

PGY2 - $70,720
PGY3 - $72,800
PGY4 - $74,880
Chief Resident - $76,960

Additionally, residents receive the following benefits:

Housing stipend: $5,000 per year dispersed throughout the year with biweekly paychecks.
Education stipend: $1,000 per year to be used for educational materials, textbooks, board review courses, conferences, etc.. Given once per year at the beginning of the academic year.
Meal stipend: $3,600 per year (to be used at the Casa Colina Cafeteria).
Subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Membership in professional societies, reimbursement for California state medical licenses, and expenses to cover research presentations at regional, state, and national conferences.
