Lymphedema causes debilitating swelling of the arms, legs, head, or torso.
Much like diabetes or high blood pressure, there is no cure for this condition,
but there is hope.
Casa Colina's Lymphedema Management Program helps individuals with lymphedema
and similar conditions control their symptoms over the long term, allowing
them to regain control and resume everyday activities.
To participate in this program, patients must have stable cardiac, liver,
and renal functions and must be fully committed to managing their condition.
All treatment is provided by certified lymphedema therapists, many with
advanced competency in head and neck cancers.
This program is recommended if you have swelling issues due to:
Primary lymphedema
Secondary lymphedema due to:
Surgery that involved the lymph nodes/vessels
Cancer cells or tumors near the lymph nodes/vessels
Infection or injury of the lymph nodes/vessels
Venous stasis edema
Lipedema
